Public Festival - Four Star Pizza ISAF Youth Worlds
A public festival of events and free entertainment will be happening all along the waterfront to celebrate Dun Laoghaire hosting the Four Star Pizza ISAF Youth Worlds
The ISAF Youth Worlds Organisers are thrilled to share the very exciting DLRCC Entertainment Guide and we can assure you that if you come to Dun Laoghaire during the Youth Worlds, especially over the weekend of Friday 13th – Sunday 15th July, you won’t be disappointed.
- Music, family entertainment, street market
- ‘Try Sailing’ experience from Carlisle Pier
- Marine Scientific Exhibition on the East Pier
On the Friday there are ‘Try Sailing’ sessions on offer from the INSS at very reasonable rates and after some time on the Bay, you can visit the Four Star Pizza Festival Outlets (which will be open across the weekend) for some ‘nosh’ and savour the atmosphere of the Youth Worlds Opening Ceremony (more details here).
Saturday’s programme will be packed with Jazz Performances, Street Entertainers, a performance by a street bike freestyle rider, a market, more opportunities to ‘Try Sailing’ and opportunities to take a power boat trip (contact Steve Conlon for more info on these trips - firstname.lastname@example.org)
On Sunday as a special treat with some real intrigue and lots of fun challenges, you and your children are invited to take park in a Nautical Treasure Hunt. A Festival Ceili in the Harbour Plaza might also take your fancy or a stroll through the Festival Market along the Metals and the Co Co Market in the People’s Park.
And this is all on offer on top of the opportunity to see 63 nations and future sailing stars and Olympians battle it out on Dublin Bay during the biggest international sailing event that Ireland has ever hosted, vying for the ultimate prize of a Youth Sailing World Championship title.
