Irish champion, race officer and successful business entrepreneur, member and former flag officer of the RSGYC. Has been involved with the organisation of international events such as the 1999 ISAF World Team Racing, 470 European Championship 2001, sailing discipline of the Special Olympics 2002, Dragon World Championship 2007 and as chairman has been responsible for the set up, organisation and development of the biennial 500 boat Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta first run in 2005.

Company Managing Director. Dragon sailor of 25 years, winner of three national titles and competitor in many World and European championships. Past member of RSGYC General Committee. Chairman of 2001 Mirror World Championship and 2004 420 Junior European Championship committees. Awarded ISA Volunteer of the Year 2003 in recognition of contribution to Junior Sailing.

Has 15 years experience in event management and administration around sailing and the marine industry. Ciara has been part of the event management teams for recent major sailing events in Ireland like Tall Ships Race and Volvo Dun Laoghaire Regatta 2005,2007 & 2009, and has worked with clubs hosting World and European championships. She is a member of the RSGYC major events team and worked for Volvo in connection with the 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race stopover in Ireland.
